Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for an issuance of a writ of Certiorari to quash the proceedings of the 1st respondent in Case No.PP.No.56/Tnv/2013 dated 21.04.2015 and to quash the same.

ORDER

The writ petition has been filed challenging the correctness of the impugned order passed by the Estate Officer, on the ground that when the respondents have not fixed the rent, the petitioner cannot be found fault with for not paying the rent. But this Court is unable to find merit in the submission for not paying the rent for several long years, namely, from 2009 to till now.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner further submitted that if the petitioner is given an opportunity, he is able to pay the rent. But

this Court is not able to agree with him, as he has committed supine indifference by not paying the rent to the Landlord from 2009. Therefore, finding no merits in the writ petition, the writ petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
