ORDER

****** [Order of the Court by R.SUBBIAH,J.] This Habeas Corpus has been filed directing the official respondents herein to produce the minor daughter of the petitioner, namely, Ranjani, aged about 17 years before this Court.

The petitioner is the mother of the detenu-Ranjani.

In the affidavit, it has been averred that her elder daughter, namely, Ranjani/detenu, aged about 17 years was studying B.Sc., Nursing 1st Year at Bharathy College, Kaikuruchi, Pudukottai District. While so, on 15.08.2016, the third respondent herein had kidnapped the detenu and on a compliant made by the petitioner to the respondent police, she was secured from the third respondent. However, after 18 days, again the detenu was missing and on a complaint given to the respondent police dated 08.09.2016, it did not yield any result forcing the petitioner to file the present Habeas Corpus Petition.

When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the second respondent produced the detenu. On enquiry, she would submit that since her mother insisted to discontinue her studies, she left the home, on her own volition and when her mother was questioned on this aspect, she denied the said fact. 4.

Be that as it may, since the detenu expressed her willingness to go along with her mother, we are of the view that no more adjudication is necessary and accordingly, we close this Habeas Corpus Petition. No costs.
