Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, to call for the record relating to the detention order passed by the second respondent pertaining to the order made in C.O.C.No.78/2016, dated 26.11.2016 in detaining the detenu under 2(b) of Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 as a Boot-Legger and quash the same and direct the respondents to produce the detenu Parthipan S/o.Sekar, Male, aged about 30 years, who is detained at Central Prison, Tiruchirappalli, before this Court and set him of liberty.

[Order of the Court by T.S.SIVAGNANAM, J.] When the matter is taken up for hearing, Mr.T.Mohan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, submitted that the detention order, dated 26.11.2016, passed against the detenu, by name, Parthipan, son of Sekar, aged about 30 years, has been revoked by the Government vide G.O.Rt.No.294, Home, Prohibition & Excise (XV) Department, dated 20.01.2017, and he has also produced a copy of the said Government Order.
