Prayer: Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to grant permission to conduct festival Kodaivilazh festival at Arulmigu Sri Poo Mariyamman Temple with function such as Kudialaipu Kummipattu, Villisai and Mulaipari from 02nd May to 05th May of 2024 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 25.04.2024. Heard both sides.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner categorically asserts before this Court that there is absolutely no rival claimant. Nobody else is organising the petition mentioned event except the petitioner herein. Recording this statement made by the counsel, this writ petition taken up for disposal.

3.The petitioner states that the petition mentioned event is being conducted every year. About 50 families will be taking part in the petition mentioned event. All the members belong to the same community.

4.I therefore direct the fourth respondent to permit the petitioner to conduct the event. It is open to the fourth respondent to stipulate appropriate conditions and the petitioner will adhere to the same. 5.This writ petition is allowed on these terms. There shall be no order as to costs.
