ORDER
According to the petitioner, the petitioner has made a representation, dated 17.07.2018 before the respondent police to grant permission and necessary police protection on the basis of the representation to conduct "Sri Valli Thirumanam Drama on 03.08.2018 to celebrate the festival of Sri.Sundaravalli Amman, Sri.Rajagulasekara Ayyanar @ Puthumaludaiya Ayyanar Temple situated at Sirunallur Village, Sevvaipetti Post, Devkottai Taluk, Sivagangai District, but the said representation has not been considered by the respondent. Hence, the present writ petition. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
3.By consent of both parties this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. 4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the representation of the petitioner would be considered by the respondents on merits and in accordance with law within the time to be stipulated by this court.
5.By considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court is inclined to direct the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 17.07.2018 on merits in accordance with law on or before 02.08.2018.
6.With the above direction the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
