Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.Shaji Bino, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.

2. By consent of both parties, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage.

3. The petitioner herein is working as the First Grade Warder (Head Guard) at Kulithalai Sub-Jail and stated to be suffering from acute kidney disease warranting dialysis twice in a week. But, there are no required medical facilities at Kulithalai to enable him to have the medical treatment. Under those circumstances, the petitioner claims to have submitted representation dated 29.03.2026 requesting for transfer to Karur Sub-Jail or Namakkal. As there are good medical facilities available in those places, he can avail treatment. Seeking consideration of the said representation, the petitioner approached this Court by filing the present writ petition.

4. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner is suffering from failure of both the kidneys.

5. Mr.Shaji Bino, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent fairly submitted that the appropriate directions may be issued for consideration of the representation taking into consideration the medical condition of the petitioner.

6. In the light of the above, without going into the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent to 2/4

consider the case of the petitioner for transfer to Karur Sub Jail or Namakkal taking into consideration the medical condition of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders thereon as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
