Respondent Prayer : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of MANDAMUS directing the Respondent to pay the arrear amount to the tune of Rs.20,22,580/- with the interest at the rate of 12 percent from the date of default of payment of the arrear amount by considering the petitioner's representation dated 03.03.2026 within the time frame fixed by this Court. O R D E R

The petitioner has entered into a lease agreement with the respondent letting out the property comprised in S.No.2323, Block 73, Municipal Ward No.2, Keerakollai Taluk, Thanjavur District, for the purpose of putting up a temporary bus stop and as per the terms of the lease agreement, the respondent agreed to pay the monthly rent.

2. The petitioner/lessor states that the respondent has not paid the arrears of rent and in this regard, a representation was submitted on 03.03.2026. The said representation is not considered so far. Hence, this petition.

3. Learned counsel for the respondent submitted that the representation dated 03.03.2026 will be considered in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Court. 2/4

Recording the said submission, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondent to consider the representation dated 03.03.2026 submitted by the petitioner on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of four(4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.There shall be no orders as to Costs.
