: Respondents PRAYER: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondents herein to produce the person or body of the petitioner's daughter, namely Krithiga, daughter of Radhakrishnan, aged about 18 years, and set her at liberty before this Court.

O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by R.SUBBIAH, J.] Seeking production of the detenue viz., Krithiga, the petitioner, who is the father of the detenue, has filed the present Habeas Corpus Petition, stating that the detenue was found missing from 22.11.2016 onwards and since her whereabouts was not known, he lodged a complaint before the second respondent, based on which, a case was registered in Crime No.637 of 2016, on 25.11.2016, as "woman missing". However, no effective steps were taken to trace out the detenue so far. Hence, the petitioner has come up with the present petition.

2. Today when the matter was taken up for consideration, the second respondent produced the detenue before this Court. When we enquired the detenue, she told us that she fell in love with one Antony Raj and she voluntarily left her house to go along with him https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

and both of them got married on 26.11.2016. She has also stated that she is a major, aged about 19 years and she is not in illegal custody of anybody.

3. In view of the above said submission made by the detenue, we close the Habeas Corpus Petition leaving it open to the detenue to lead her own way of life.
