*********** [Order of the Court was made by R.SUBBIAH, J.] The petitioner, namely Umadevi, the sister of the detenu, has filed this Habeas Corpus Petition stating that her brother, Durai @ Duraisamy, S/o.Nagarathinam, aged about 35 years, was illegally detained by the second respondent from 14.12.2016. Therefore, she has given a complaint to the first respondent on 14.12.2016. Since no steps have been taken so far, the petitioner is before this Court with the present Habeas Corpus Petition.

2. When the matter was taken up for consideration, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submitted that in connection with the case registered in Crime No.533 of 2016, for the offences punishable under Sections 392 and 397 of the Indian Penal Code, the detenu was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 18.12.2016, as per the order of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.2, Trichy.
