Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 1st and 4th respondents to issue fresh Police Verification Report to the petitioner by deleting the criminal cases from the CCTNS (Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems) shown as pending in the name of the petitioner within the time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

The petitioner, with a grievance that though the criminal cases registered against him were closed long back, the record shows that the same were not deleted from the CCTNS (Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems) and therefore, he is not in a position to go abroad, has filed this writ petition seeking a direction to the 1st and 4th respondents to issue a fresh Police Verification Report to him by deleting the criminal cases from the CCTNS.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that the cases registered as against the petitioner have been closed and they are taking necessary steps to remove the criminal cases from the CCTNS. He also assures that in the event, if the petitioner applies, a fresh Police Verification Report would be furnished to him within a week.

3. Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this writ petition is closed with a direction to the respondent 2/4
