Writ Petitions are filed under article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to include the name of the petitioner in the Ther Uliyam grant in TD No.324 in respect of Survey No.51/2 situated at 83, Valamangalam Village, Kulathur Taluk, Pudukottai District and consequently consider the representation dated 07.03.2026 within the time stipulated by this Court. ORDER

This writ petition is filed for a mandamus directing the respondents to include the name of the petitioner in the Ther Uliyam grant in TD No.324 in respect of survey No.51/2 situated at 83, Valamangalam Village, Kulathur Taluk, Pudukottai District and consequently, considered the representation dated 07.03.2026 within the time stipulated by this Court. 2.The contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that the land in question was grant in favour of Nagammal, Vadivammal, Vembammal and Marutham in TD No.324 dated 16.11.1970 for the purpose of Ther Uliyam. Originally, the petitioner's grandfather was doing the said Uliyam and therefore his name was recorded after his demise. Now, the petitioner is even though doing the Ther Uliyam, his name is not recorded in the said proceedings. Therefore, he has made a representation. 3.I have considered the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner and also heard the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents.

4.When the property has been endowed for the temple purposes towards Ther Uliyam, it is for the second respondent to consider the same

whether to include the name of the petitioner or not on its own merits, according to their Rules and Policy.

5.In view thereof, let the representation of the petitioner dated 07.03.2026 shall be taken up by the 2nd respondent and after due notice to all concerned including the petitioner, the same shall be decided in the manner known to law, in any event, final order shall be passed, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of the web copy of the order. 6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
