Mr.L.George Paul Anto ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the impugned proceedings in A5/M.C.11/2021 (145) dated 30.06.2021 passed by first respondent.

2. There is a dispute between the petitioner and the third and fourth respondents relating to the usage of a pathway. The first respondent received information from the second respondent regarding the dispute over the pathway and the apprehension of breach of public tranquillity. Therefore, a show cause notice was issued to the parties on 30.06.2021 directing them to appear before him. At this stage, the petitioners have filed the present petition and obtained an order of stay on 13.07.2021, and hence, no further progress has been made in the proceedings. 2/6

3. This Court has perused the impugned proceedings and finds that the first respondent, upon receiving information from the second respondent, has applied his mind and issued a show cause notice as per the procedure. Since no adverse order has been passed against the petitioners, this Court is inclined to dispose of this Criminal Original Petition.

4. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the following direction:

(i) Both the parties are directed to appear before the first respondent along with relevant documents, and the first respondent shall complete the enquiry and pass appropriate orders within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, in accordance with the procedure contemplated under Section 145 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. 04.03.2026 pal 3/6
