This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to give adequate police protection to the petitioner's life and limb and his family members and that of the construction workers involved in the construction of the first floor on Sri Shakthi Super Market Premises, situated in Survey No.2112/2 & 2113, Sellur, Madurai Town, Madurai District, based on the petitioner's representation dated 25.08.2020.

2. Today, when the petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2, on instructions, would submit that in earlier the petitioner gave a representation on 25.08.2020 to the first respondent and the same has been forwarded by the first respondent to the second respondent in Reference No.R4/1126/33469/2020, dated 04.09.2020. He would further submit that as of now, upon the representation given by the petitioner, an enquiry has been initiated and the same was pending on the file of the second respondent Police.
