Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a WRIT OF MANDAMUS directing the respondents to pay the petitioner the compensation for the acquisition of her lands in survey No.29/1B1B,30/2 and 30/2B, Servaikaranmadam village, Tuticorin district determined vide award in Na. Ka. E2/96232/2007 (Block 1) dated 08.05.2024 and Na. Ka. E2/48507/2013 (Therisalai) dated 14.03.2024 within the time that maybe stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to pay the petitioner the compensation for the acquisition of her lands in survey No.29/1B1B,30/2 and 30/2B, Servaikaranmadam village, Tuticorin district determined vide award in Na. Ka. E2/96232/2007 (Block 1) dated https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

08.05.2024 and Na. Ka. E2/48507/2013 (Therisalai) dated 14.03.2024 within the time that maybe stipulated by this Court.

2.The learner Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the matter is referred to Principal District Court, Thoothukudi in LAOP proceedings. However, it is submitted that the amount is deposited and the Principal District Court has not assigned the number to the proceedings. 3.Therefore, the respondents are directed to release the said amount to the petitioner itself within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.With the above observations, this Writ Petition is allowed. There shall be no order as to costs.
