Respondents Habeas Corpus Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus directing the first and second respondents to produce the body or detenu namely Suresh Kumar, S/o.Palanichamy, aged about 32 years, before this Court and set him at liberty.

ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by M.V.MURALIDARAN, J) This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed by one Mr.M.Palanichamy. His son namely Suresh Kumar, aged about 32 years was missing from 01.01.2016. In this regard, a complaint has been lodged on 23.01.2016 to the second respondent police, upon which, a case has been registered in Crime No.33 of 2016 for "Man Missing". Since his son has not been rescued, the petitioner has come up with this Habeas Corpus Petition. 2.We have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents and we have also perused the records carefully.

3.A status report has been filed by the second respondent police stating that they have investigated in various places and also taken steps to get details in respect of the SIM connection used by the detenu and one Senthilnathan. They have also requested the assistance of the Karnataka Police to secure the detenu. In paragraph No.18, the second respondent stated that since he has taken the investigation of the case from 10.07.2016, there is definite improvement in the progress of investigation. 4.Recording the said submission, we close this Habeas Corpus Petition by directing the respondent police to take effective steps to secure the detenu. Accordingly, this Habeas Corpus Petition is closed.
