ORDER
These Writ Petitions have been filed seeking for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant permission and protection for cultural event namely Adal Padal scheduled to be held on 01.06.2015 & 31.05.2015 respectively at Arulmighu Sri Muthumariamman Thirukovil at Kalathur Village, Pattukottai Taluk, Thanjavur District. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent and also perused the materials on record.
3.According to the petitioners in both the Writ Petitions, they are the members of the Vizha Committee of Arulmighu Sri Muthumariamman Thirukovil at Kalathur Village, Pattukottai Taluk, Thanjavur District and every year temple festival is being conducted by the villagers and this year also, the villagers jointly decided to conduct the village temple festival, with 'Adal Padal Cultural Programme' on 01.06.2015 & 31.05.2015 respectively. In this connection, individual representations have been given on 25.05.2015 to the respondent, with a request to grant permission to conduct 'Adal Padal Cultural Programme on 01.06.2015 & 31.05.2015 respectively. However no order has been passed by the respondent on the said representations and hence the petitioners are before this Court for the above said relief.

Petitions seeking permission to conduct Adal Padal Programme at the same temple on two different dates, I feel it is just and proper to direct the respondent to consider the representations dated 25.05.2015. 5.Accordingly, I direct the respondent to consider the representations dated 25.05.2015 and pass appropriate orders purely on merits and in accordance with law, within one day from the date of production of copy of this order.
6.These Writ Petitions are disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
