: Respondents Prayer: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondents to secure the detenu, by name K.Pambalganesh, S/o.P.Karuppiah, who is son of the petitioner, aged about 45 years and produce him before this Court and set him at liberty. ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.V.MURALIDARAN, J.) One Lakshmi has filed this Habeas Corpus Petition stating that her son, by name K.Pambalganesh, S/o.(Late) P.Karuppiah, aged about 45 years, was found missing from 20.01.2006. Initially, the husband of the petitioner has given a complaint and subsequently, he died in the year 2013. Thereafter, she has given the present complaint on 29.07.2015. However, there is nothing on record to show that any complaint has been made immediately after her son left out of his house, but, a perusal of the typed-set of papers would go to show that the complaint was made only on 29.07.2015. The detenu is also aged about 45 years and above.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor informed that the respondent police has also taken steps to trace out the detenu by way of issuing pamphlet and also taking all other efforts. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. Therefore, in view of the above said facts, we close the Habeas Corpus Petition by directing the respondent police to proceed with the investigation.
