PRAYER :- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondents 1 to 5 to pass appropriate orders to stop the illegal functioning of the brick kiln run by the 6th Respondent in the river bed of Thamirabarani River more particularly in S.Nos.630/3, 630/7, 637/2 and 637/3 of Atencode Village, Killiyoor Taluk, Kanaykumari District and to take appropriate action for the illegal mining made by the 6th Respondent in the Thamirabarani River based on the representation of the Petitioner dated 06.03.2026.

ORDER
(Judgment of the Court was made by N.SATHISH KUMAR, J.) The prayer in this writ petition is to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondents 1 to 5 to pass appropriate orders to stop the illegal functioning of the brick kiln run by the 6th Respondent in the river bed of Thamirabarani River more particularly in S.Nos.630/3, 2/5
630/7, 637/2 and 637/3 of Atencode Village, Killiyoor Taluk, Kanaykumari District and to take appropriate action for the illegal mining made by the 6th Respondent in the Thamirabarani River based on the representation of the Petitioner dated 06.03.2026 2.
Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 5 would submit that the 3rd respondent will consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 06.03.2026 within a time frame.

Recording the said submission, the 3rd respondents is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.03.2026 and conduct an inspection. If it is found that the brick kiln run by the 6th respondent is operated without any licence, the 3rd respondent shall take appropriate action against the 6th respondent. Such action shall be completed within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
