6.Pandi 7.Piranmalaiyan ... Respondents Prayer: Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.06.2022 for displaying board in the name of "Arulmigu Malai Mandhai Veeran Swamy Kirama Periya Kovil Veedu", which is mentioned in Kumbabisegam invitation and not to permit the respondents 6 & 7 for conducting Kumbabisegam scheduled on 10.06.2022 at Arulmigu Malai Mandhai Veeran Swamy Kirama Periya Kovil Veedu, Vaithiyanandhaiyyar Street, Therkutheru, Melur Taluk, Madurai District till the amicable settlement will come in Peace Committee Meeting which was passed the earlier order by this Court in W.P.(MD)No.10572 of 2022, dated 27.05.2022. For Petitioner : Mr.T.Villavankothai For R1 to R5 : Mr.K.Balasubramani Special Government Pleader 1/3
O R D E R
Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for R1 to R5.
2. Thiru.Pandi, Thiru.Piranmalaiyan and Thiru.Malaichamy appeared in person. The petitioner belongs to what is known as Manthiveeran Vahiyara. Kumbabisegam is to be held for Arulmigu Malai Mandhai Veeran Swamy Kirama Periya Kovil Veedu tomorrow.
3. The grievance of the petitioner is that in front of the temple, a board has to be displayed. The stand of the private respondents is that this temple is common to 21 vahiyaras and that therefore, putting up of a name board may send a negative signal.
4. Since Kumbabisegam is to be held tomorrow and the parties have approached this Court literally at the last minute, I am not in a position to adjudicate the matter. The private respondents herein are clear that they do want the petitioner also to participate in the function to be held tomorrow. The said statement is recorded.
5. Since there appears to be some dispute among the various groups, I direct the fourth respondent to convene the peace committee meeting on 17.06.2022 at 3.00 pm., in the office of the fourth respondent for resolving all the outstanding issues. Kumbabisegam shall go on peacefully tomorrow and the fifth respondent shall make appropriate bundobust arrangement therefor.
6. With this direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
