O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 3 to 6 to prevent the procedure of providing special honour to selective persons from selective community during the Chitra Pournami festival which is scheduled on 12.05.2025 at Sree Kaveri Ambal Temple situated at Kozhikaraipatti, Puduvayal Post, Karaikudi Sivagangai District based on the petitioner's representation dated 11.04.2025.

2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police would submit that they received the petitioner's representation and the same was forwarded to the fifth respondent for conducting peace meeting. Therefore, the revenue authorities have to take an appropriate decision in this regard. 3.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1, 3 and 5 would submit that they received the petitioner's 3/7

representation through the sixth respondent and the same is under enquiry. They issued notice to both the parties for appearance tomorrow for peace meeting. They will conduct enquiry and take appropriate decision in accordance with law.

4.Mr.D.Venkatesh, learned Counsel represented that he is appearing for one Kanthamalai and others and submitted that no any special honour provided for anybody. Therefore, without any cause of action, this petition has been filed. However, they will co-operate for peace meeting.

5.Considering the prayer sought for in this petition and the sixth respondent also forwarded the petitioner's representation to the fifth respondent and the same is pending for conducting peace meeting, it is for the fifth respondent to take appropriate decision. 6.Therefore, this Court directs the fifth respondent to conduct peace meeting and take appropriate decision, after affording opportunity to both the parties. Further, both the parties are directed to co-operate for conducting peace meeting and based on the outcome of the peace 4/7
