2.The petitioner alleges that private respondents herein have encroached upon the petition-mentioned water body. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Special Government Pleader submitted that the Tahsildhar, Alangudi has initiated steps. Eviction notices have been made

ready. We direct the first respondent to ensure that the competent authorities take all possible steps to have the encroachments removed by following due process of law within a period of four months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
