Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the second respondent to produce the body or person of the petitioner's daughter, namely Meena, D/o.G.Murugavel, aged 19 years, before this Court and set her at liberty.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by V.S.RAVI, J.] Today, when the Habeas Corpus Petition is taken up for admission, the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner, his wife and the detenu are present before this Court. The detenu has been produced by the second respondent police. She has stated that her date of birth is 27.04.1997 and she is aged about 19 years. To establish her date of birth, the detenu has produced a copy of the Higher Secondary School Transfer Certificate issued by the Headmaster, Kaviyarasar Annamalai Reddiyar Memorial Women Higher Secondary School, Vilathikulam, Tuticorin District. She has further stated that she has married one P.Murugesan, the third respondent herein, on 06.01.2016 and their marriage has also been registered at the office of the Registrar of Marriages, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Srivilliputhur, under the Tamil Nadu Registration of Marriages Act, 2009. The detenu has also produced a copy of the Marriage Certificate issued by the Registrar of Marriages, Srivilliputhur. The detenu has further stated that she is residing with the third respondent and continuing her studies [B.Com, C.A, First Year] in Government Arts College, Virudhunagar. The detenu has also stated that she is not willing to go with her parents. The petitioner and his wife, who are present in Court, have heard the above said statements made by the detenu.

2. In such circumstances, recording the above said statements made by the detenu, this Habeas Corpus Petition is disposed of.
