O R D E R

The petitioner is before this Court seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to process the petitioner's application dated 17.11.2025 for providing electricity service connection for construction of a residential house in the petitioner's land situated on the western side of 95 cents (0.38.40 hectares) out of a total extent of 1 acre 5 cents comprised in Survey No.798A/1E2E1, Uthayathoor Village, Radhapuram Taluk, together with the western 4 cents (0.01.60 hectares) out of a total extent of 14.82 cents (0.06.00 hectare) comprised in Survey No.798A/1D1, Uthayathoor Village, Radhapuram Taluk, Tirunelveli District.

2. Mr. S. Deenadhayalan, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that the petitioner is a coowner of the subject property and that, if the petitioner produces the other co-owner and furnishes a no objection certificate from such co2/4

owner, the petitioner's application will be considered in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. The said submission is taken on record.

3. In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to process the petitioner's application for providing electricity service connection to the subject property, subject to the petitioner securing the presence of the co-owner before the respondents. If the co-owner does not raise any objection to the grant of electricity service connection, the respondents shall provide such service connection, subject to the petitioner satisfying all other eligibility criteria.

4. The aforesaid exercise shall be completed within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. There shall be no order as to costs.
