The petitioner with a grievance that the final report in Crime No.200 of 2022, which is pending on the file of the Keelakarai Police Station has not yet been filed so far, has approached this Court. 2.Today(26.06.2024), when this petition is taken up for hearing, Mr.B.Thanga Aravindh, learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) takes notice for the respondents and submits that after investigation, the case in Crime No.200 of 2022 has been closed as ''mistake of fact'' on 01.12.2023.

3.Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed with a direction to the respondent police to file a final report before the concerned Court within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and also serve a copy of the final report 2/4

to the petitioner enabling him to file a protest petition, if so advised. The petitioner is at liberty to file a protest petition within a period of two weeks from thereon.
