Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, in the nature of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the third respondent to grant approval of the petitioner's proposal for appointment dated 05.10.2017 as Secondary Grade Teacher in the 5th Respondent school by considering her representation dated 26.02.2025.

O R D E R

Heard, the learned Counsel for the petitioner, learned Additional Government Pleader for the Respondent Nos.1 to 4 and perused the materials available on record.

2. This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction the third respondent to grant approval of the petitioner's appointment with effect from 05.10.2017 as Secondary Grade Teacher by considering the proposal sent by the fifth respondent school.

3. The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that he was appointed as Secondary Grade Teacher in the fifth respondent school from 05.10.2017 in the vacancy caused due to transfer of D.Susilabai Rajakumari in the 2/8

sanctioned post. The fifth respondent school sent a proposal seeking approval of the appointment of the petitioner dated 14.09.2023. Thereafter, the petitioner submitted a representation on 26.02.2025, requesting the third respondent to grant approval of his appointment against the inaction of the third respondent and considering the same, the present writ petition has been filed.

4. Mr.Siddharthan, learned Additional Government Pleader, appearing for the Respondent Nos.1 to 4, on instructions submits that the proposal sent by the fifth respondent school is received by the third respondent on 28.03.2025. Now, he has to forward the same to the second respondent.

Considering the above facts and circumstances, this Court intends to dispose of the writ petition at the admission stage, with the consent of both sides, with a direction to the third respondent to forward the proposal received by him on 28.03.2025 from the fifth respondent school, to the second respondent.

6. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of, with the following directions:

i) The third respondent to forward the proposal received by him on 28.03.2025 from the fifth respondent school to the second respondent within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. ii) On receipt of the same, the second respondent shall consider and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of four weeks thereafter.

There shall be no order as to costs.

This Writ Petition is listed today under the caption ''for being mentioned'' at the instance of the learned counsel for the petitioner.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in the order dated 28.04.2025, passed in W.P.(MD)No.11545 of 2025, the petitioner's name has been inadvertently mentioned as "D.Mathiselvi Ponkumar" instead of "D.Mathiselvi". Therefore, the learned counsel prays for necessary correction in the said order.

3. In view of the above, the Registry is directed to carry out the correction by substituting the name "D.Mathiselvi" in place of "D.Mathiselvi Ponkumar" in the order dated 28.04.2025 and issue a fresh copy of the corrected order forthwith.
