Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 herein to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 15.12.2015 and to place the petitioner above the name of the 3rd respondent herein for fixing proper seniority of the petitioner to the 2019-2020 panel of the post of Administrative officers.

ORDER
The petitioner, aggrieved over the promotion of some of his juniors, claiming that he is more suitable for promotion, has come forward with this Writ Petition with a grievance that he shall also be considered for promotion. He had also sent a representation to the respondents 1 and 2 on 15.12.2015.
2. The learned Additional Government Pleader submits that as per the proceedings dated 22.12.2022, the Government has taken a policy decision to give certain relaxation of the Rules to the persons, who were appointed prior to 01.01.2009, extending the date for passing certain tests.
3. Be that as it may. The prayer made in this Writ Petition is that the petitioner may also be considered for promotion. The learned Additional Government has also reported that the respondents 1 and 2 would consider the representation and pass appropriate orders on merits.
4. In view of the aforesaid submission, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the claim of the petitioner, I am inclined to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to pass appropriate orders on the representation of the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
