O R D E R

Heard Mr.E.V.N.Siva, learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mr.F.Deepak, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents. 2.This is a petition seeking initiation of contempt proceedings against the respondents for violation of the order, dated 02.09.2022 passed by this Court in W.P.(MD)No.18599 of 2020.

3.The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that a bunch of Writ Petition was filed before this Court in which the leading Writ Petition number is W.P.(MD)No.6344 of 2018 and the petitioner's Writ Petition number is W.P.(MD)No.18599 of 2020 and a common judgment was delivered by this Court, dated 02.09.2022. The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that as the judgment and order passed by this Court, dated 02.09.2022 was not complied with, being no alternative, the petitioner has filed the present Contempt Petition with a prayer that the respondents have deliberately and wilfully flouted the judgment and order passed by this Court and thus, they should be summoned and punished for committing contempt of Court by exercising the powers under Sections 11 and 12 of the Contempt of Court Act.

4.Today, when the matter is being taken up, Mr.F.Deepak, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents has produced an order passed by the first respondent, dated 17.03.2025, in which, he submits that the respondents have made fully complied with the judgment and order passed by this Court, dated 02.09.2022 passed in W.P.(MD)No.18599 of 2020 and as per the directions issued by this Courts, the respondents have made the entire amount due to the petitioner. The copy of the order passed by the first respondent, dated 17.03.2025 has been produced before this Court, which is taken on record. The copy of the order passed by the first respondent has also been given to the learned Counsel for the petitioner. Thus, the learned Special Government Pleader submits that as the judgment and order passed by this Court has been fully complied with by the respondents, the respondents may be discharged from the present contempt proceedings.

5.Mr.EVN.Siva, learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that he has received the copy of the order, dated 17.03.2025 today in the Court and on perusal of the order, he submits that the respondents have made compliance of the judgment and order of this Court dated 02.09.2022 passed in W.P.(MD)No.18599 of 2020. Thus, he submits that he has no objection, if the respondents are discharged from the present contempt proceedings and the Contempt Petition may be disposed of accordingly. 3/6

6.After considering the arguments, as advanced by the learned Counsel for the parties and after perusal of the order passed by this Court in W.P.(MD)No.18599 of 2020, dated 02.09.2022 and the order passed by the first respondent, dated 17.03.2025, this Court is also satisfied that the respondents have made fully complied with the directions issued by this Court and no useful purpose will be served in continuing the present contempt proceedings any further. Accordingly, the respondents are discharged from the present contempt proceedings and the present Contempt Petition is disposed of. The file is consigned to record. No order as to costs.
