O R D E R
The writ petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to grant permission and protection for Thappatam, Karagatum and Innisai Katcheri scheduled to be held on 23.05.2023, 30.05.2023, 31.05.2023 and 01.06.2023 at night with 68th year of Sri Muthumari Amman Temple festival at Thuvakkudi Malai North, Thiruverumbur Taluk, Trichy District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 15.04.2023.
2. Mr. B.Nambiselvan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner submitted that festival for the temple, by name, "Sri Muthumari Amman Temple festival at Thuvakkudi Malai North, Thiruverumbur Taluk, Trichy District", is going to be held on 23.05.2023, 30.05.2023, 31.05.2023 and 01.06.2023. Subsequent to the same, in order to conduct a cultural programme on 23.05.2023, 30.05.2023, 31.05.2023 and 01.06.2023, they sought permission of the Police by giving a representation dated 2/5
10.04.2023 and 15.04.2023. But, the second respondent has not considered the said representation. Since no order was passed, the writ petitioner has come before this Court for the above said relief.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit that he has objection for granting permission to conduct a cultural programme on 23.05.2023, 30.05.2023, 31.05.2023 and 01.06.2023. The respondent Police is present before this Court and stated that in the above said area, murder took place due to communal issue on 17.03.2023 and they are apprehending law and order problem.
5. In view of the submission made by the respondent Police who is present before this Court, the second respondent is directed to dispose the above said representation and pass suitable orders rejecting the request. So that the petitioner can workout his remedy through appropriate proceedings.
