The petitioner is the sole accused in Spl.S.C.No.40 of 2022 on the file of the Special Court for Exclusive Trial of Cases under POCSO Act, Thoothukudi. By Judgment dated 18.12.2024, the petitioner has been convicted for the offence under Section 6 of POCSO Act and sentenced to undergo 20 years rigorous imprisonment and to pay a fine of Rs.10,000/-, in default, to undergo one month rigorous imprisonment

2. The petitioner claims that he is not having any family support and he has entrusted the certified copy of the Judgment of conviction dated 18.12.2024 to his friend, but, he lost it. Therefore, he has filed this petition to dispense with the production of the certified copy of the Judgment dated 18.12.2024 passed in Spl.S.C.No.40 of 2022.

3. Though this Court is not inclined to entertain this petition, considering the reasons stated by the petitioner, this petition is allowed.

4. The Registry is also directed to ascertain as to whether any other appeal has been filed with the certified copy of the Judgment dated 18.12.2024 passed in Spl.S.C.No.40 of 2022.
