ORDER

The petitioner / wife, who is facing proceedings for divorce at the instance of the husband in HMOP.No.1042 of 2019 before the Family Court, Coimbatore, seeks transfer of the same to the Family Court at Madurai. Transfer is sought for mainly on the ground of convenience.

2. It is stated that the petitioner / wife is working at Agricultural University, Madurai. The husband is a native of Salem.

3. It is stated by Mr. J. Pothiraj, learned counsel appearing for the respondent that the respondent is now working at Chennai.

4. Considering the convenience of the parties, I am of the considered opinion that HMOP could be transferred to the file of the Principal Sub Court, Madurai, which is empowered to deal with the matrimonial matters, so that, the inconvenience caused to the respondent / husband is substantially reduced as his personal appearance is not required, for every hearing, before the Sub Court.

5. Considering the fact that wife is a resident at Madurai, the Transfer CMP is allowed and HMOP.No.1042 of 2019 pending on the file of the Family Court at Coimbatore is withdrawn and transferred to the file of the Principal Sub Court, Madurai. TR.CMP(MD).No.210 of 2020 Coimbatore is directed to transmit the papers to the Principal Sub Court, Madurai, forthwith. No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
