..Respondents [R-5 impleaded suo motu, vide order dated 02.06.2016] PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondents to produce the body and person of petitioner's daughter Ammu D/o.Dinesh, female, aged about 8 months, who has been illegally detained by the third respondent herein and hand over her custody to the petitioner.

O R D E R
[Order of the Court was made by K.K.SASIDHARAN, J.] The respondents produced the DNA test report. The report indicates that the child was born to the petitioner. In view of the DNA report, there is no difficulty in handing over the child to the petitioner.

2. We direct the Chairperson, Child Welfare Committee, Thanjavur, to hand over the child to the petitioner, on the strength of the DNA test report, positively, by 15.07.2016. It is open to the Child Welfare Committee to monitor the child, in view of the background facts.
3. The Habeas Corpus Petition is closed with the above observation.
