O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1 and 2 respondents to permit the petitioner to conduct Thirumal Poojai in the Tamil month of Vaikasi 19 situated at S.No.718/1, Manur Vilalge, Tirunelveli District, on 02.06.2023 at 06.00 a.m. to 06.00 p.m. and to give adequate police protection, based on the petitioner's representation dated 12.04.2023.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side.

3. The petitioner's request for conducting the cultural programme has not been acted upon by the respondent police, which prompted the petitioner to file the present writ petition.

4.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) would submit that the representation given by the petitioner will be considered by the second respondent within a short period. 2/4

5.Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), without going into the merits of the case, this Court directed to the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 13.04.2023, on or before 31.05.2023 and pass appropriate orders on its merits and in accordance with law. 6.With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
