Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 14.10.2025 and to issue legal heir certificate of petitioner's grandfather namely M.Perumal, Son of Kothukku Mokkaiyan.

ORDER

The petitioners claim to be the grandchildren of the deceased M. Perumal, son of Kothukku Mokkaiyan, through his second wife. They have submitted a representation dated 14.10.2025 to the second respondent seeking issuance of a legal heirship certificate in respect of their deceased grandfather. The grievance of the petitioners is that the said representation has not been considered till date.

2. Learned Government Advocate for the respondents submitted that the representation submitted by the petitioners will be considered in accordance with law within the time frame to be stipulated by this Court.

3. The said submission is taken on record. The writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioners' representation dated 14.10.2025 on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of two (2) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. There shall be no order as to costs.
