ORDER

This contempt petition has been filed that the order of this Court dated 12.08.2024 passed in WP(MD)No.11127 of 2024 has not been complied with.

2.The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that this Court by order dated 12.08.2024 has directed the District Collector and the Superintendent of Police, Kanyakumari to initiate appropriate action as against the erring officials. 3.When this contempt petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the 2nd respondent submits that the District Collector has initiated action as against the Tahsildar and minor punishment has been imposed and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the 1st 2/4

respondent submits that disciplinary proceedings has been initiated as against the Inspector of Police concerned.

4.Recording the above submission that action has been taken against the officials concerned, this contempt petition is closed. 11.06.2025 DSK To The District Collector, Madurai District.
