ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by N.SATHISH KUMAR, J.) The petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition seeking a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to remove the encroachment allegedly made by certain residents in Thozhar Jeevanantham Street, situated at Karaikudi Town, and to restore the said road to its original condition, based on the petitioner's representation dated 02.04.2026. 2.Mr.J.Ashok, learned Additional Government Pleader, accepts notice for the first respondent and Mr.J.Parekh Kumar, learned counsel, accepts notice for the second respondent.

3.The petitioner, seeking removal of the alleged encroachment in Thozhar Jeevanantham Street, submitted a representation dated 02.04.2026 before the authorities concerned. Since the same has not been considered, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

4.We have heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record. 5.On a perusal of the materials on record, we are of the considered view that the filing of the present Writ Petition amounts to an abuse of the process of law. It is evident that the petitioner has submitted the representation dated 02.04.2026 and, on the very same day, has chosen to file the present Writ Petition, without affording reasonable time to the authorities concerned to consider the said representation. Such conduct indicates that the Writ Petition has not been filed for a bona fide cause, but for extraneous reasons. In the absence of any merit, we are not inclined to entertain the Writ Petition.

6.Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
