ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking a writ of Mandamus to direct the first respondent herein to dispose of the petitioner's Appeal in AP.No.8/MST/Viraganoor/2017/B3, dated 03.07.2017 pending on the file of the first respondent within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. Mrs.J.Padmavathi Devi, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents 1 and 2 and Mr.C.Arul Vadivel @ Sekar, learned Counsel takes notice for the third respondent.

3. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

4. Aggrieved over the insufficient compensation granted by the authority, the petitioner preferred an arbitration application before the first respondent - District Collector, Madurai, on 03.07.2017. Even though the arbitration application was filed in the year 2017, there is no progress over the same. Aggrieved over the delay in not disposing of the arbitration application, the petitioner is before this Court.

5. Considering the limited prayer, a direction is issued to the first respondent to dispose of the arbitration application made in AP.No.8/MST/Viraganoor/2017/B3, dated 03.07.2017, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of as above. No costs.
