2.The Inspector of Police, Bodinayakkanur Police Station, Theni District. : Respondents This Habeas Corpus Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issue of a Writ of Habeas Corpus to issue a direction, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to produce the body of the petitioner's daughter namely Chitradevi, D/o.Manoharan, aged about 15 years and to hand over the custody to the petitioner.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by K.K.SASIDHARAN, J.) The second respondent produced the detenu3 by name Banupriya before us. We examined the detenue. 2.The detenue informed us that she was forcibly taken by her neighbour Janani, w/o.Gobi to different places and finally, she was forcibly married to one Dinesh. The jewellery of the detenue and her money were taken by those people. 3.She also stated that she was raped by the said Dinesh without her consent and against her wish.

4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the police have already registered a case against the said Dinesh and he is no in jail. The police also secured major portion of the jewellery.

5.The detenue wanted to go with her mother, who is present in Court. She is set at free.

6.The habeas corpus petition is closed with the above observation.
