The relief sought for in the present Writ Petition is to direct the respondent to include the Eco Bio Technology Degree also as one of the Educational Qualification for the post of Environmental Scientist published by the respondent under Notification No.1 of 2019 dated 06.03.2019.

2.The petitioner has completed M.Sc.Eco Biotechnology in Bharathidasan University. The petitioner submitted an application to participate in the process of selection. The grievance of the petitioner is that the respondent has not treated the Eco Biotechnology Degree as one of the educational qualification for selection to the post of Environmental Scientists. 3.Prescription of educational qualifications, age limit etc., are the prerogative of the employers. A candidate, who is aspiring to secure employment, cannot seek inclusion of particular qualification for selection to a particular post. Such a right is not conferred on the candidate. W.P.(MD) No.10878 of 2019 4.This being the factum, no further consideration is required. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands dismissed. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
