.. Respondents Habeas Corpus Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents 1 to 3 herein to produce the body or person of the petitioner's son the detenu Neelakandan aged 34 years before this Court and set him at liberty.

For Petitioner : M/s.V.Ganesan For Respondents : Mr.A.Ramar Additional Public Prosecutor COMMON ORDER (Order of the Court was made by M.V.MURALIDARAN, J.) Both the petitions were taken up today.

2. In HCP (MD) No.664/2016, Mrs.R.G.Rupa has filed the petition stating that her son, namely, Boopalan aged 26 years was missing. In HCP (MD) No.665/2016, one Gunavathy, has filed the petition stating that her son Neelakandan aged 34 years, was arrested by the respondent police on the same day. The petitioners have stated that several cases are registered against their sons.

3. The respondents also filed a common status report in both the petitions stating that both the detenus/accused were involved in 19 cases and they were also stated in Paragraph No.6 of the status report about the cases pending against the said two detenus.

4. Recording the said status report, the submission of the respondents, these petitions were closed, by directing the petitioners to work out their remedy before the Court concerned. Sd/- Assistant Registrar (W) /True Copy/ Sub Assistant Registrar
