O R D E R

The writ petition has been filed in the nature of a Mandamus seeking a direction to the respondents / Tahsildar and Head Taluk Surveyor, Theni Taluk Office, Theni District, to conduct survey and measure and fix the four boundaries and also issue a separate patta with respect to the property at Survey No.866/1A2B1 measuring 1316 square feet namely, 3 cents and 8 square feet at Veerapandi Town Panchayat, Theni Taluk, Theni District. The petitioner claims title on the basis of a registered settlement deed dated 27.07.2017 registered as Document No. 4157 of 2017 in the jurisdictional Sub Registrar Office. 2/5

2. There is a patta in Patta No.6669 in the name of the husband of the petitioner and in the name of the brother of the husband. The total area of the land is 0.18.04 ares.

3. A direction is given to the respondents to issue notice to the petitioner and also issue notice to Senthil Kumar in whose name the patta also stands and thereafter, examine the settlement deed in favour of the petitioner and the proceed to do the needful. The entire exercise must be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
