This writ petition has been filed for a Writ of Mandamus directing the third respondent to accept the water connection deposit of Rs.1000/- to provide new water connection to the petitioners' houses. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2.For providing water connection, the amount to be paid by each of the petitioners is Rs.1,000/-, according to G.O.(Standing)No.260, dated 19.12.1998. Further, the learned counsel for the petitioners now undertakes that the petitioners will bear the additional expenses if any, for the purpose of providing water connection. 3.Hence, this writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents to collect Rs.1,000/- as deposit from each of the petitioners, and thereafter, upon payment of necessary incidental expenditure, water connection be provided. The said exercise shall be completed within four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
