ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by M.V.MURALIDARAN, J.) One Ravikumar, has filed this Habeas Corpus Petition that his son by name Prasanna, aged about 21 years was missing from 30.04.2016 onwards. Alleging that he has gone for petty shop for buying chocolates and thereafter, he was found missing. Pursuant to which, a complaint has been preferred to the respondents and a case in Crime No.5/2016 has been registered for 'man missing' and the same is pending. Since his son has not been secured, despite complaint, the petitioner is before this Court with this Habeas Corpus Petition.
2. A status report has been filed by the respondent stating that the detenu has undergone treatment for mental ill-health from 10.07.2016 at Government Rajaji Hospital, Madurai. Lateron, when the respondent police visited the hospital on 20.07.2016, the detenu was not found in the hospital. Thereafter, the respondent police searched him at various places. However, they could not secure the detenu. Now, it has been stated in the report that the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
respondents are taking effective steps to trace the detenu, but his whereabouts are not known, and tracing of the detenu is under progress.
3. Recording the said submission, the respondents are directed to take steps to trace the detenu, as early as possible. With the above direction, this Habeas Corpus Petition is closed.
