O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking direction to the Sessions Court, Nagercoil to dispose of the case in S.C.No.72 of 2012 within a stipulated time period fixed by this Court.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is one of the accused in S.C.No.72 of 2012. The case has been registered in the year 2012 and the same is pending for more than six years. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court seeking dispose of the case in S.C.No.72 of 2012 on the file of the Sessions Court, Nagercoil.

3. In similar circumstances, this Court has issued a direction to the Courts below to complete the trials, which are pending for more than five years.

4. Considering the fact that the aforesaid case has been filed in the year 2012 and in the interest of justice, this Court directs the Sessions Court, Nagercoil to dispose of the case in https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

S.C.No.72 of 2012, as expeditiously as possible, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if there is no other legal impediment.

5. With the aforesaid direction, this Criminal Original petition is disposed of.
