ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner for a direction directing the respondents to procure the printed practical workbook for science subjects for Classes XI and XII students of Government and Government Aided Schools by inviting tender in accordance with the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Transparency in Tenders Act, 1989.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court. 3.This Writ Petition is not filed in the interest of the petitioner. It is in the nature of Public Interest Litigation. Therefore, the petitioner has no personal interest of procurement over the purchase of records books, question papers and other books required for students in the private printing presses. That apart, now it has been changed and all the papers and books are procured from the Government authorized presses. Therefore, the direction sought for in this Writ Petition cannot be considered. Hence, this Writ Petition is devoid of merits 2/4

and the same is liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
