ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to give police protection for the purpose of conducting cultural programmes, Innisai Katcheri and other programme in

connection with Parisutha Athisaya Panimatha Peralayam scheduled to be held on 27.07.2018 to 05.08.2018 at about 5.00 p.m. to 01.00 p.m. at Matha Kalaiyarangam, South Kallikulam - 627 113, Radhapuram Taluk, Tirunelveli District on the basis of the petitioners representation dated 23.06.2018 and 10.07.2018. 2.The learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is the Tharmakartha of Parisutha Athisaya Panimatha Peralayam, situate at Matha Kalaiyarangam, South Kallikulam, Radhapuram Taluk, Tirunelveli District. The villagers of the said locality are conducting cultural programmes from the time immemorial, in connection with the festival conducted in the Parisutha Athisaya Panimatha Peralayam, during the month of July. This year also, the villagers have decided to conduct the said festival in the aforesaid village. Therefore, they made a representation to the respondent on 23.06.2018 and 10.07.2018. But, so far, no order has been passed in the said representation. Hence, the petitioner, as a Tharmakartha has filed the present Criminal Original Petition.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner's representation will be considered positively, subject to certain conditions. 4.In the light of the aforesaid submission, this Court is inclined to direct the fifth respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.06.2018, positively, in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, on or before 27.07.2018. 5.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
