ORDER

The Additional Collector (Revenue), Thanjavur, has forwarded certain proposals to the Commissioner of Land Administration, Chepauk, Chennai, vide communication dated 07.09.2022. The Government is not a party to the writ petition. The learned Additional Government Pleader draws my attention to the order dated 11.11.2022 made in Cont.P(MD).No. 852 of 2020. Para Nos.3 and 4 of the said order reads as follows: "3.The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent, on instructions, would submit already steps have been taken to grant patta to 250 families including the petitioner and the land in question has been classified as 'Sarkar Poramboke'. The authorities has to obtain permission from the Government and the District Revenue Officer concerned is taking every steps in this regard and sent proposals to the Government for grant of permission and whenever permission is granted, the beneficiaries case will be considered and as such, this Court finds no wilful default or disobedience on the part of the respondent.

4.In view of the above, the Contempt Petition is closed. No costs. "

2. In view of the same, this Contempt petition is closed. Liberty is given to the petitioner to file a fresh writ petition impleading the Government as well as the Commissioner of Land Administration, Chepauk, Chennai, as party. No costs.
