[Order of the Court was made by N.ANAND VENKATESH, J.] This Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to grant 40 days ordinary leave without Police escort to the petitioner namely Suresh @ Sathiyaraj, S/o.Vadivel, aged about 36 years, Life Convict, PID No.608, confined at Central Prison, Trichy on the basis of the petitioner's representation, dated 03.01.2026.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor produced the proceedings of the first respondent, dated 07.04.2026, wherein the request made by the petitioner for grant of ordinary leave to his son has been rejected. A copy of the proceedings was also served on the learned counsel for the petitioner.

3. In view of the above development, no further order can be passed. If the petitioner is aggrieved by the same, it is left open to the petitioner to challenge the proceedings in the manner known to law.

4. This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above liberty. No costs.
