3.Vickram Karthick : Respondents PRAYER: Habeas Corpus Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to produce the person or body of the daughter of the petitioner, namely Maheswari, aged 24 years, D/o.M.Veerapathran, from the illegal custody of the third respondent's source before this Court and hand over the detenu to the petitioner's custody. O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by S.NAGAMUTHU, J.] The petitioner is the mother of one Maheswari, D/o.M.Veerapathran, aged 24 years. According to the petitioner, she has been found missing from 06.07.2016. Since she has not been secured by the police, despite complaint made, the petitioner has come up with this Habeas Corpus Petition.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up, the second respondent produced the detenu before this Court. The petitioner also made appearance. When we enquired the detenu, she told us that she was not abducted by anyone. She further submitted that she has not been detained illegally by anybody. She went out of her parental home on her own accord and now, she wants to go to her parental home with the petitioner. The said statement is recorded.

3. In view of the same, nothing survives in this Habeas Corpus

Petition. Accordingly, the Habeas Corpus Petition is dismissed, leaving it open for the detenu to choose her own way of life. Sd/- Assistant Registrar(CsI) /True Copy/ Sub Assistant Registrar SML To 1.The Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Thanjavur District.
