: Respondents PRAYER: Habeas Corpus Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondents to produce the person or body of the petitioner's daughter namely Kavitha, aged about 18 years, D/o.Balu before this Court and set her at liberty.

O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by S.NAGAMUTHU, J.] One Balu has filed this Habeas Corpus Petition stating that his daughter by name Kavitha, aged about 18 years has been missing from 30.05.2016. A complaint was given to the second respondent Police for woman missing and the same has been registered in Crime No.399 of 2016. As the detenu was not traced even after the complaint, the petitioner has come up with this Habeas Corpus Petition.

2.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the second respondent Police produced the detenu. On enquiry, she has stated that she was not illegally detained by anybody. She has further stated that she married one Selvakumar and she is willing to go only with the said Selvakumar. The said statement is recorded. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3.In view of the same, nothing survives for adjudication in this petition. Hence, the Habeas Corpus Petition is dismissed, leaving it open to the detenu to choose her own way of life.
