ORDER
The prayer sought for herein is for a writ of mandamus, directing the respondent to provide alternative employment to the petitioner by sending him to the medical board's examination based on the petitioner's representation dated 20.06.2018, within the time limit that may be stipulated by this Court. 2.Heard Mr.M.S.Jeyakarthik, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.D.Sivaraman, learned standing counsel appearing for the respondent.
3.The petitioner has been working as a Conductor at the respondent Corporation. The petitioner had been suffered with some gastro enterological problems. As a result, he underwent for surgery on 20.11.2017, because of that ailment, the petitioner is not able to work as a Conductor. Therefore, in order to get alternative employment, the petitioner has made a request on 20.06.2018 to the respondent Corporation by referring the petitioner to the medical board. However, the same has not been considered and therefore, the petitioner is before this Court. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 4.I have heard Mr.D.Sivaraman, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent, who would submit that, the said
representation of the petitioner, dated 20.06.2018, would be considered on merits and an order to that effect, would be passed within a time frame.
5.Considering the limited scope of the writ petition, this Court is inclined to pass the following order:- "that the respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 20.06.2018 and pass orders thereon, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."
6.With this direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
